What we do here
Social change can be messy work. There is seldom — if ever — a perfect approach. But we believe that each of us can make a difference.
We're here to shine light on people doing incredible work in their communities, and to build support that sustains their efforts.
Why do we tell these stories?
- To celebrate remarkable people doing remarkable work
- To bring empathy and awareness to shared struggles
- To have hard conversations about hard things: mental health, trauma, social injustice, and more.
Finally, to show viewers (that's you!) what you can do to help.

Get involved. (Really.)
The simplest way to help the people and organizations we feature is often to donate directly to their cause. Through our site, 100% of your donation will go directly to the cause you choose.
We also collaborate with the subjects of our work to determine other ways you can offer support. Check out each film's page for details.
If you want to donate directly to Imperfect Cause to fund future documentaries and projects, click here. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
